WOW! We've already had more applications than spaces for campers! We encourage you to still send in your camper applications but please note that most applications from here on out will be put on a waitlist.

Hey rockstar! 2017 Camper & Volunteer Applications start 3/10!

Rock N’ Roll Camp for Girls OKC is a one week day camp where girls ages 8-17 learn rock instruments, form bands, collaborate and explore musically while guided by inspirational female mentors. All camper bands will perform LIVE at the Camper Showcase on Saturday, July 15th! Previous showcases have been held at The Will Rogers Theater and The OKC Civic Center.

Tuition and Financial Aid: Tuition is $350 per camper for the week of camp. Limited financial aid is available to those in need. See the financial aid section of the application for further details. Tuition is not due until acceptance notice via email has been sent. Tuition is not considered a donation. Tuition is payable by check or online by credit card. Please do not send tuition until you have received conformation that your camper has been accepted.

Applications are reviewed on a first-come-first served basis, however several factors influence final decisions regarding camper placement. Those factors include: age, instrument, level of experience, diversity and interest. When we assign instruments we’re making sure there is an even distribution of ages and instruments so that bands can be formed. Some ages and instrument choices are in greater demand than others. The most common reason we turn an applicant away is that there were too many applications from girls of the same age.

Instrument Assignment: Campers will be assigned one instrument to focus on for the week and will find out what instrument they are playing when they arrive at camp Monday morning. Every day they will have a group lesson in that instrument, and play that instrument in their band. Applicants are asked to share their instrument preferences in the application. Their choices are: voice, guitar, bass, keys or drums. Not all campers will be assigned their first choice. Campers cannot change instruments once their instrument has been assigned.

All instruments are provided. If a camper has their own guitar or bass, they may bring it. Rock n’ Roll Camp for OKC does not accept liability for personal instruments.

Lunch & Snacks: Campers must bring their own lunch and a snack each day. We do not provide lunch for campers. Re-usable water bottles are highly recommended to help stay hydrated throughout the day.  Each day at lunchtime the campers and volunteers will be treated to a live performance! Past lunchtime bands and performers include The So Help Me's, Annie Oakley, Ali Harter, Kaitlin Butts, Camille Harp and Kate Dinsmore from Harumph!

Our Volunteers: Our volunteers are an awesome bunch of local business owners, artists, musicians, mothers, grandmothers and empowering women and we could not have camp without them! Our volunteer mentors are thoughtfully selected and screened through an online application, in-person or phone interview, and fingerprinting.

Non-Discrimination Policy: Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls OKC does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national and/or ethnic origin, age, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, mental or physical ability, or gender identity/expression in the administration of any of its educational programs, admissions policies, financial aid, and other Camp-related policies and programs, as well as volunteer and employment-related policies and activities.

MEDICAL INFORMATION
If yes, please explain. All information will be kept confidential and shared only as needed to provide proper care.
FINACIAL AID
If you are able to pay the full tuition of $350, do not fill out the financial aid questions. We are a volunteer run, non profit organization and our funds are limited. We may not be able to grant every financial aid request. Financial aid typically goes to families that are low-income, have many dependents, or are facing other financial hardships. We do not grant financial aid because of a camper being enrolled in multiple summer camps, private school tuition or other situations involving elective activities. We want RCGOKC to be accessible for all kids, and we ask that you only apply for financial aid if the camp is cost prohibitive and your child would be unable to attend otherwise.
Will you be requesting financial aid for the camper? *
Would you like to make a donation towards the 2017 scholarship fund to help send girls to RCGOKC?
CAMPER SECTION
Please have camper answer the following questions. It’s fine to type for them but we’d like to get to know the applicant so make sure the responses are theirs. Each answer should be several sentences long or longer. Thanks!
